QASSRA creates motion video invitations and digital event stationery for weddings, cultural celebrations, and personal milestones. Our products are designed with heritage communities in mind — South Asian, Arab, and diasporic families who want invitations that feel as considered and intentional as the events they're hosting.
We offer three ways to work with us:
- Ready-to-Share Templates — Browse our curated collection of motion-video invite templates, personalise your details in Canva (no design experience needed), and share the same day.
- Semi-Custom Edits — Love a template but want us to handle the personalisation for you? We edit in your details, adjust event pages, and refine the design.
- Bespoke Invitation Experience — A fully custom motion invite designed around your vision, aesthetic, and events.
We also offer an RSVP Concierge Add-On — a branded RSVP page set up and managed for you, so your guests have a seamless experience from the moment they receive the invite.

Are your designs suitable for cultural or theme-specific events?
Yes — this is where QASSRA is distinctly different. Our designs are created with South Asian, Arab, and diasporic aesthetics in mind: warm heritage palettes, cultural motifs used with restraint, and design sensibilities that feel familiar to guests from these communities.
That said, our templates suit a wide range of aesthetics — from rustic minimal to vibrant contemporary — and can be personalised to reflect your specific cultural background and event theme.

What's included in a QASSRA Invitation Suite?
Every template in our collection includes more than just an invite. Your purchase includes:

- 1 complimentary print-ready card design (high-res 5×7 in. PDF/JPEG — ready to send to a printer if you want physical cards too)
An editable Canva template that you can reuse and restyle for event signage, favour stickers, table numbers, menus, seating tags, thank-you cards, and more
Beautifully consistent across your entire event.
What can be customised?
For Ready-to-Share Templates, you personalise your own details directly in Canva — names, dates, times, venues, and event information. No design experience is needed; the animation and ambient sound are already built in + you can add your own music.
If you'd like additional changes — adjusting pages for multi-event weddings, swapping icons or fonts, blending elements from different templates, or having us input your details — those are Semi-Custom Edits.
For changes to the core design, aesthetic direction, colour palette, layout, or script/language, our Bespoke Invitation Experience is the right fit.
Can I customise the audio in my digital motion invitation?
Yes!
QASSRA's in-house Nature SFX and ambient sound experience is pre-loaded with your template.
But you can easily enhance the audio experience by also adding your own music for personal use after purchase - instructions provided.
Please Note: Any other music, vocals, or artists used in the product preview's on our website and social media are not included in QASSRA's products to respect the commercial rights of the artist.
Do the digital invites come with an RSVP option?
Yes. Alongside your motion-video invite, you can add our RSVP Concierge Add-On — a branded RSVP page designed to match your invite, where guests can respond to the specific events they're invited to.
Pricing (one-time, no subscriptions):
- Base Setup (recommended): Unlimited guest list, multi-event compatible, invite-embedded RSVP page. You manage your guest list, reminders, and custom URL.
- Enhanced Setup: Base setup plus advanced support with guest list management, reminders, and custom URL.

What's the difference between a digital invite and a video invite?
A digital invite (also known as an e-vite, e-card, or online invitation) is a modern alternative to a printed card, shared via email, text, or social media. Traditional digital invites are static — a designed image or PDF.
A video invite (also called a motion invite or animated invitation) adds movement, transitions, and music — creating a cinematic, emotionally resonant first impression that travels instantly to guests anywhere in the world. In heritage and diaspora communities especially, the motion invite has begun to carry the same sense of occasion that a formal mailed card once held: it signals that the event — and the guest — matters.

Are digital video invitations more affordable than traditional paper invites?
Yes, significantly.
Printed invitations typically involve design fees, per-card printing costs, envelope and postage costs, and reorders for changes or new guests. A digital video invite from QASSRA is a one-time purchase with no printing or postage costs, and it's reusable — resend to new guests, use for event reminders, or repurpose the Canva template for other event materials.
They're also an eco-friendly choice, reducing paper waste and the carbon footprint of physical postage — without compromising on the elegance or emotional impact of the invitation experience.
HOW IT WORKS
What is the turnaround time for orders?
General Turnaround Timelines:
- Ready-to-Share Templates: Delivered to your email immediately upon checkout. Personalise and share the same day.
- Semi-Custom Edits: Typically ready within 2–7 business days, depending on complexity and revision rounds.
- Bespoke Invitation Experience: Usually 8–14 business days. Timeline may extend based on design complexity, number of revisions, and client feedback pace.
- RSVP Concierge Add-On: Setup timelines are confirmed at the time of your order.
If you have a specific deadline, message us before ordering so we can confirm we can accommodate it.
How do I share a digital video invite with guests?
Once you've personalised your invite in Canva and downloaded the MP4 file, you can share it directly via:
- WhatsApp (the most common choice for heritage wedding communities)
- Messenger, iMessage, or SMS
- Instagram or other social media (as a story, reel, or DM)
- Embedded on a website or RSVP page
Your file is reusable — resend to guests who didn't open it, share reminders closer to the date, or forward to latecomers as many times as needed, without any additional cost.
Do I need design experience to personalise my template?
No. All Ready-to-Share templates are edited in Canva, which is a free, beginner-friendly design platform. The animation and music are already built in — you update your event details (names, dates, times, venue) by clicking and typing. Many customers describe the process as taking just a few minutes.
If you're not comfortable with Canva at all, our Semi-Custom Edit service means we handle the personalisation for you.
How do I place an order or get started?
For Ready-to-Share Templates, browse our collection, purchase directly online, and you'll receive your Canva template link by email immediately.

CULTURAL & MULTI-EVENT WEDDINGS
Can you create motion invites for multi-event South Asian or Arab weddings?
Yes — and this is one of the things QASSRA does particularly well. Our multi-event templates (such as Modern Vintage, Vibrant, and Gold & Pastels) are designed to cover multiple celebrations — Mehndi, Nikah, Walima, and more whichever events make up your wedding weekend — within a single, cohesive invite.
Each event can be listed on its own page within the motion invite, creating a sense of occasion and anticipation for every celebration. For couples with highly personalised event structures or bilingual requirements, our Bespoke Experience can build each event's invite to feel entirely distinct while remaining visually unified.
Can you create bilingual invitations (Arabic/English, Urdu/English, etc.)?
Yes. Bilingual invitation design is something we approach with care — understanding that Arabic reads right to left, that Nastaliq script has specific typographic requirements, and that the layout needs to honour both languages simultaneously rather than treating one as an afterthought.
Bilingual invitations are available as part of our Bespoke Invitation Experience. Message us to discuss your specific language requirements.
Are your designs suitable for guests who aren't from a cultural background?
Absolutely. Our templates are designed to feel elegant and welcoming to all guests, regardless of their familiarity with South Asian or Arab aesthetics. The cultural design references we use — heritage patterns, calligraphic details, warm palettes — are applied with restraint, in a way that feels sophisticated and contemporary rather than niche or exclusive.
Many of our couples have international or mixed guest lists, and their guests across backgrounds consistently respond positively to the invitation experience.
POLICIES
Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
Because our products are digital and delivered immediately upon purchase, we are unable to offer refunds after checkout and order confirmation. Please find the full policy here.
If you experience a technical issue with your template or believe there is a defect in the file you received, please contact us and we will work to resolve it promptly.
